MAPUTO, March 3 (Reuters) – Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi on Thursday appointed Adriano Afonso Maleiane as the new primary minister, shortly following sacking Carlos Agostinho do Rosário, and loaded a number of other posts together with finance minister as aspect of a cupboard reshuffle.
A Portuguese-language presidency statement named Ernesto Max Tonela as the Minister of Economy and Finance, and Carlos Zacarias, at the moment chairman of the Countrywide Petroleum Instituto (INP) accountable for licensing oil and gas projects, as Mineral Sources and Strength Minister.
The other new appointments were being Deputy Minister of Financial system and Finance and Minister of Market and trade.
Nyusi also shifted Lidia Cardoso from Deputy Minister of Health and fitness to Minister of Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries.
On Wednesday, Nyusi fired six ministers, without providing a cause, in what was viewed as a main cabinet reshuffle.
